This guide covers the shortest practical setup path for a new business in Naayya.
The path depends on whether you offer classes, services, programs, or retail. Set up Get Paid before creating pricing for classes and services.
For a map of the workspace and its main areas, see Platform Overview.
When you sign up#
The last step of sign-up asks What do customers book with you? Choose every answer that applies, or none, and select Continue. Your answer sets which offerings your sidebar starts with.
| Customers book | Naayya switches on |
|---|---|
| A place in a class | Classes |
| A course or term they enroll in | Classes and Programs |
| A court, lane or room | Services |
| Time with a practitioner | Services |
| Gym access or check-in | Classes |
If you choose more than one answer, Naayya switches on everything they need. If you choose none, you start with Classes and Services on and Programs off.
The answer also shapes your first location. If customers book a court, lane or room, the first resource starts as a court instead of a room. See Manage Locations and Resources.
The answer is a starting point. An owner or manager can switch any offering on or off later in Admin > Settings > Offerings, and can switch one off once its live items are archived. See Switch offerings on and off.
1. Check your business profile#
Go to Admin > Settings.
Review:
- Business name and public slug
- Timezone
- Currency
- Logo and banner
- Public listing visibility
- Contact details and social links
The timezone and currency affect schedules, booking times, payments, and reports. Set them before creating a full timetable.
2. Add locations and resources#
Go to Admin > Settings > Locations.
Create each place where your classes and services take place. Add resources when capacity depends on rooms, courts, equipment, chairs, workstations, or other bookable spaces.
Use resources for anything that should not be double-booked.
See Manage Locations and Resources.
3. Invite the right staff#
Go to Admin > Settings > Staff.
Invite people with the access they need. Teaching access and admin access are related, but they are not the same thing.
Use:
- Staff for people who need access to the business workspace
- The Teaching tab on a person's staff page for people who need a public teaching profile, payroll setup, or teaching stats
- Roles & Permissions when you need to understand what someone can see or change
See Adding Staff Members.
4. Create what customers can book#
If you run classes, go to Admin > Classes and create the first class series.
If you run services, such as massages or court hire, go to Admin > Services and create your services, resources, and availability.
If Classes or Services is not in your sidebar, an owner or manager can switch it on in Admin > Settings > Offerings; see Switch offerings on and off. Programs starts off unless you chose A course or term they enroll in at sign-up, so switch it on there if you sell programs.
Before publishing, check:
- Location or resource
- Teacher or provider
- Capacity
- Schedule
- Booking window
- Whether customers can book online
See Creating Classes or Create Services.
5. Set up payments#
Go to Admin > Settings > Get Paid.
Connect your payment account and complete any required verification. The New Product action for class and service pricing needs a connected payment account. Check your account status before moving on.
If you also take cash, bank transfer, or other offline payments, review how those are recorded so reports stay clear.
See Set Up Get Paid and Record Offline Payments.
6. Create offers customers can buy#
For class and service offers, go to Admin > Pricing.
Create the offer types you need:
- Drop-in for a single class offer
- Pack for a set number of credits or unlimited use. A pack with credits can cover classes, services, or both; an unlimited pack covers classes only
- Membership for a class offer with membership settings
- Single appointment for one use of a service, such as 1 massage
For physical goods, turn Products on in Admin > Settings > Offerings (Turn selling on), then go to Admin > Products.
For gift cards, go to Admin > Gift Cards.
For class-based products, review class coverage before you share the offer. Regular passes cover standard classes by default, while workshops, experiences, events, and intentionally narrow offers need explicit coverage.
See Product Types Overview and Class Coverage for Products.
7. Review booking rules and policies#
Review the relevant settings pages and sections:
- Admin > Settings > Booking, under Checkout for guest checkout and Availability for booking windows
- Admin > Settings > Get paid for payment mode
- Admin > Settings > Booking > Policies for cancellation rules and refund or forfeiture behavior
- Admin > Settings > Legal for waivers and terms, if required
Put constraints next to the workflow they affect. For example, set cancellation rules before customers rely on them.
For message channels and notification controls, see Notification Settings.
See Booking & Checkout Settings, Booking Policies, and Waivers & Terms.
8. Share your schedule or storefront#
Customers can book from your public business page. You can also share your public pricing page, an individual offer, a gift card page, or a website embed.
Use:
- Admin > Settings > Storefront > Embed for the schedule widget
- Admin > Products for a Public Link to an eligible class pack or membership
- Your public Pricing page for customers who want to compare those offers
- Admin > Products for physical goods, once Products is on in Admin > Settings > Offerings
- Admin > Gift Cards > Copy Store Link for gift cards
See Website Integration, Share Class Packs and Memberships Online, and Gift Cards.
9. Run one test booking#
Before sending links to customers, make one test booking from the customer side.
Check:
- The right class or service appears
- The correct products are offered
- Checkout uses the expected payment mode
- Confirmation messages make sense
- The booking appears in Admin
- Attendance or appointment management works afterward
After that, you can invite customers, add your website embed, and start operating from the live workspace.
If a test booking does not appear or a step is blocked, use Common Issues & Solutions for the first checks.
